It is March tomorrow! Ohh wow that just screams optimism. It has been noticably more light out and it is actually in the 30's! I just looked at this week's forecast and starting with Monday it is 34, 35, 37, 37, 38. That is amazing. I am rather happy that March has arrived. I can finally get out and run again without the worry of ice destroying my body.
New show I am watching. It is called the inbetweeners and it is about english highschool friends. It is rather amazing. Anyone watching this already?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ddcHpKwT9s (sorry I can't embed it). I wish America could put funny shit like this on network tv. I can't stand how socially conservative we are in this country. Bad language and nudity are the devil though! Do not forget that.
I enjoyed the Olympics like usual. I thought the US had the game today once they tied it, but it wasn't meant to be. I am still proud of the team though. Those boys just brought their hard hats and lunch pails and went to work game in and game out. It is nice to see American hockey represent on the world stage like that. I will miss watching the American flag raised in the air with the national anthem playing. That is my favorite part of the Olympics. I really really wished that the Star Spangled Banner would be booming from Canada Hockey Place after the game tonight, but my wish didn't come true. It is ok though, they made me proud and I am happy for that.
It is almost March Madness time. Let the madness begin!
A Blog about my life. Topics are all over the place, but you can expect a fair share of sports and fun. Enjoy. Leave a comment if you want... or don't.

Getting Sick
So I woke up in the middle of the night sneezing and with a runny nose. I was congested a little when I woke up this morning, and now I have a cough coming on. Getting sick is such a bad feeling because it is only gonna get worse. I haven't been sick for close to 2 years. I am not looking forward to this. The only good thing that comes from being sick is that it puts into perspective how nice not being sick is. It is easy to take for granted my health, but the occasional cold helps level me out I guess.
I saw shutter island last night. I thought it was a sweet movie.
I saw wolfman last week and I thought it was a bad movie.
I started this at like 10 this morning and now it is 1 am...
It feels like I have a leak in my right nostril. It has been running all day and I am been sneezing a fair amount. My throat isn't sore though so I am in ok shape. My nose is a little sore (don't you hate that from blowing you nose too much?!).
I have been watching hockey since 2 this afternoon and am almost done for the night and am excited for bed. I definitely feel a little drained from this mini cold I have. It has been an entertaining day of games though. I do love the olympics, and they make my boner rage for the world cup this june. I CANNOT WAIT.
Sorry to the east coast for all that snow and rain and wind that is supposed to start tomorrow. I would contemplate taking a pillow and laying outside and just dying. That is so gross. It is almost March. I was looking at the average temps for March yesterday. By the end of the month the average high is 49! That will be so amazing. Will I still even be here? I have no idea, but if I am I will enjoy the warmer weather.

Ah Ha!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20100221/sc_livescience/napsclearthemindhelpyoulearn
I am such a advocate for naps in the afternoon. They re-energize you and make you fresh. There is no doubt about it in my mind. I have gone weeks without naps and staying up for 16 hours straight (while working). I would always hit a wall at about 2 pm and then for 20 minutes be so sluggish and just want to sleep. After that 20 minutes I would feel fine, but having a nap in there would be better because I was never productive during those 20 minutes (would usually just go into a stall in the bathroom and take a cat nap for 10 minutes anyay ;-) ).
Still in the process of figuring out my future. I applied to some jobs this past week, but haven't heard anything. I am applying everywhere these days. Banks, warehouses, rose gardens. I'm just really excited to put this college education to use!

What to do What to do
Well I didn't get either of the jobs I interviewed for. That is a little disappointing. I felt so close for the one I interviewed for last Thursday so having that come back negative was rather crummy. The other one I wasn't too surprised that I didn't get, I wasn't too sad either.
Now I have 33 days until this house is gone and time is ticking on what I figure out to do. Ugh what a pain in the ass, yet it is also a little emancipating, but also a pain in the ass. I really have no idea what to do. I can't lie and say that California is not tempting, because it sure as fuck is. There is no point to go out there though because that is the worst job market in the country. But the weather is so amazing! Damn I really need to figure this out and I am not good at decision making stuff like this. I have one side of me that wants to stay here and I have another side of me that wants to leave. I got some soul searching to do.
I'm in love
My blog followers will be the first to know how this adventure plays out!
Guilty Pleasure lately: grouphug.us and post secret. I love these sites/books and can't get over them. Everyone has secrets and it is comforting to know that. I just love reading peoples secrets and confessions though. Talk about endless entertainment.

Success!?
Well my interview was today. I got about 4-5 hours of sleep, which was good and I woke up well rested. I had some breakfast and took a shower and felt good and tried to get my nerves under control.
I knew I was meeting with 2 people, but didn't know if it would be at the same time or not. It was at the same time, which at first I was kinda nervous about just because it is just one more person in the room. There was also another person who was in on a teleconference. Uh-oh. It all went really well I thought though. The people I met (a guy in late 30's-early 40s and a girl mid 20's) were really nice and asked basic questions and none of the stupid ones. I thought most my answers were solid except for the answer to "explain the difference between marketing for business to business and business to person". I definitely had no idea for that one so I made up some bullshit. I thought it went well though, it took about an hour and went by very fast. I think after doing this interview all the rest will be a lot easier for the fact that the unknown is a little out of the way and I have confidence that I can do well in selling myself.
Dan-I appreciate your kind words. I didn't get pics of myself in the suit, but I will get some before the weekend is out.
Jennifer- That is my attitude basically for life. If it doesn't go well, fuck it. If it goes well cool, if not I'll just keep on going forward, no big deal. :-)
My mom called me tonight from california. She said it was about 50 degrees and it is supposed to be 70 this weekend. This makes me want to move out there. I really just want to run outside, and I can't do that with all this snow on the ground. I could do that in california though...
I still have to run 365 miles this year and am at 0. When these streets are clear my inner Prefontaine for be shining!

Cautiously Optimistic
(after writing this I have put in this warning that this is just hogwash that I needed something to put down so I can go back and look at it in a few weeks/months/years.) Proceed if you want...
Tomorrow morning I have my interview. I am nervous, but excited. Does anyone like these? Whenever I think of interviews I think of people who can think on their feet and do it very well. I am not one of these types of people. I have prepared as best as I can though and am confident I'll do just fine. I just talked to my parents too so it's always assuring to know people got your back. Of course there will be a post interview blog post of whatever happens good or bad. This is the first time in a few weeks that I am legit tired before midnight. I hope I can sleep tonight.
p.s. maybe you will get that limited edition picture of sean in a suit!! (the thought makes me cringe and shiver and get goosebumps)

So long

It's a small picture, but my parent's house sold. It closes on March 24th so hopefully I will have some sort of living arrangements figured out by then.
I am happy it sold, house showings are such a pain in the ass. Needing to make my bed everyday was so stupid I just started sleeping on top of the comforter and just used a blanket i would keep folded in my closet. I know it's lazy, but making the bed just seems like a sucker's game to me.
I got a job interview (!!!) on Thursday so we will see how that goes. Getting a job right now would be rather spectacular. It's a marketing communications position at a company called entegris.
So that is the news in my life over the past few days. My mom is in California this week so I got the house to myself...party!!...or just sit around in silence and prepare to try not to fail at my interview.

Edward Sharpe
and the Magnetic Zeros. Anyone hear their stuff? Is it as amazing as this song?
I heard this song before hear and there and liked it a lot. I heard it on New Years eve and was getting drunk and remember rocking out to it with Ty and Kelly (among other great songs) and then forgot about it. Watching 24/7 Jimmie Johnson count down to Daytona on HBO the other night they did an amazing montage at the end of the episode with this song and I decided to find who sings it. So the question remains: Is their other stuff as amazing as this song?
Random stuff
I woke up to snow again today. Apparently 4 inches when its all done by late this afternoon. Yahoo.
I'm addicted to sugar, yet again, and trying to get out of that witch's dirty grasp. Tis tough though.
I can't wait to see shutter island. Behind Robert Downy Jr. (I saw sherlock holmes for the 2nd time and urge people to see that movie if you haven't. It is so much better than Avatar. Speaking of Avatar; if you have yet to see The Hurt Locker you are doing yourself a disservice. That movie will get its due after it wins best picture, but do yourself a favor and see it before it wins. It is amazing.) Leo is the man. The guy does it all and Shutter Island looks incredible.
Shows i am currently following:
Mondays: 24, Chuck
Tuesdays: Lost, Damages
Wednesdays: The Middle
Thursday: The office, Survivor Heroes vs. Villians next week!
Sunday: 60 minutes, soon amazing race
I catch up with other shows here and there. That new spartacus show on STARZ about the gladiator is rather cool. I saw that pilot and between the grusome fight scenes and the hotness of the chicks and the frequency of said chicks naked make it a worthwhile show to watch.
Had to add this pic of captain chaos fishing. He is so awesome!
Picture blog post coming sometime in the next few days. Most likely before Sunday. So you got that to look forward to.
EDIT: Just watched this week's Chuck and really enjoyed the song towards the end. I look up who it is and it is none other than Edward Sharpe! You can't make this stuff up. Definitely cool and I am definitely a fan now. Chuck has such awesome music. That show kicks so much ass it should be illegal.
