These dudes are amazing. I heard them the day I got out to LA 9 days ago and haven't been able to stop listening to them. I saw @firedanterhaar tweeted something about them last week. (Pause to go and read said tweet) He asked if they are the new mgmt. Well Foster The People kicks all sorts of ass. The cd is quality and they definitely pass the summer cruise test (tip of the hat again to @firedanterhaar). It is little surprise then that my summer jam of 2011 is this amazing song (posted below). Good luck not falling in love with it. You've been warned.

Last Day in Hospitality
Tonight at 11pm I will be hanging up the hampton inn polo for good. It will be my last 20 check ins of my Guest Service Representative (or Front Desk, if you want to be a dick about it) career. I am happy I took the position. It made me deal with many different types of people a day and made me become a very patient person. I appreciated the regulars who were awesome people. I laughed at the people who thought I cared that they had a shitty day and my manager was gonna hear about whatever I had no control over.
The 2 dudes I usually worked with are good people though. One is a gamer and a fellow redditor (here come the eye rolls) and the other is a good person who enjoys mma. Neither of them took their job seriously and I never had to worry about them undermining me for any reason.
So this is me signing off. I will not miss you. After the thousands of check ins and the thousands of phones answered I bid you good bye.

I saw this pic and couldn't help but think of myself and most everyone else.
The only things that I enjoy that can't be categorized above are fitness related. Though that turns into an addiction because you want the endorphin release that it provides. Also I exercise because I eat shit food, drink beer, and play video games/watch tv more than I should. Everything in moderation though. :-)

Rats!
We tied tonight again 0-0. My effort was there. I got tagged out at home with 2 outs in the top of 5. I was on 2nd and was on my horse as the ball was kicked to right field. I rounded third and heard everyone say, "get down get down!!!". I got down, and slid and looked at the ump and a safe signal was called. "Awesome," I thought. Then some other ump (there were about 5 of them dicking off behind home-plate not even paying attention to the game) called me out. So I was called out. Well that sucks. I ran hard, but I guess came up short. I ran 3 miles tonight because it was nice out. Tyler told me I should save the energy. I didn't listen and it might have cost us the game.
Can I add that the team we played were a bunch of whiny germs? They complained for everything. I hate complainers. It is kickball you dolts. Why are you complaining over stupid shit. Go play softball if you want to bitch about shit not going your way.
I went to the muni with Tyler tonight. He was a little drunk (read: alot). We played shuffle board and then walked home. I can get used to that walk home from there. Wayzata is so peaceful. We stopped at the graveyard by my house. A lot of the gravestones are from 1860's-1940's. Wow. That was a nice reminder of how easy we have it. Imagine a Minnesota winter with no electricity, plumbing, or fridge. Wow.
I still think we will win it all this year. Call me crazy. I always think we are going to win (any team I am on I think is going to win. Maybe it is a sickness. Maybe it is selfishness).
We got this.
I got Cali soon though.

Kickball 2011
Kickball has been a boring struggle this year. The team can't score any runs. That will change tomorrow. I am going to kick the ball hard and run all the way around the bases. It will be awesome.
We are 1-0-2 with two games that have ended in 0-0 ties. I still believe we will win the league because we could pitch shut outs every single game. All we need is to find a way to score a run and we will be all set.
The host bar this year is alright. I long for the days of Ugly Mug though. It was 2 levels so there could be hanging out on the 1st floor and then crazy dance party on the 2nd floor.
My last day of work is Friday. Then I jet off to California for a couple 13-14 days on Sunday. You can catch me at the pool. Awww Yeaaa. This new addition is waiting to meet me:
Her name is Holly(wood) and she is a 9 week old tabby. Playing with her might just put me over the edge to get a cat. I guess we will see.
