About 2 weeks ago my Mom was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer metastatic to her liver. It was tough news to get, but after the initial shock and grief wore off I realized that this isn't a death sentence. My Mom is a strong lady who has been through some shit. She has always been extremely confident, selfless, caring, positive, compassionate, and optimistic. Ever since she was diagnosed shes has been nothing but normal. She has been so calm and positive. I am so proud of her demeanor. I greatly miss her, but know that she will battle through this as hard as she can. She has good a chance as anyone in beating this.
A Blog about my life. Topics are all over the place, but you can expect a fair share of sports and fun. Enjoy. Leave a comment if you want... or don't.

I figure since life is a funny I will update my loyal readers with jobs that I am applying to. Today I applied to become a Regional Flight Attendant. Customer service trapped in a box up in the air with people who may or may not be satisfied? Where do I sign up? Ohh, nevermind, it is Compass Airlines and I just did.
This has been Jobs I applied to Today. Please tune in within the next 24-72 hours for an update of jobs I applied to.

You probably won't think this is as funny. It slayed me though.
Found this in a reddit thread. The response is what slayed me. The meme referred to in the third comment is of karate kyle.

Fitness Membership
One of my big qualms with Minnesota is the fact that you cannot work out in the winter outside without some sort of equipment. I would love to get into cross country skiing, but the price is a little too high. I also don't know if I would like it or not. I guess I could strap on boots and run hills covered in snow. That is not ideal though. Also breathing in the cold air burn the lungs, especially with anaerobic workouts (hills).
I had a very productive summer running. I mixed it up between distance and intervals. Intervals are so much fun. They kick your ass, but they get you fit very fast. The bummer when winter comes is that I just stop working out. I haven't run since Thanksgiving (4 miles), and before that it was probably early November. From June-mid Oct I was running 4-5 days a week and had so much energy. These days between my lack of doing anything, the weather, and the fact that it is only like for about 9 hours I feel so lethargic.
I have decided to join a fitness club. I just want a place where I can run on a treadmill (dreadmill) and a place to lift weights. Squats, Bench Press, Push Press, an Dead Lift and the key big time lifts I want to get back into. The awesome thing about not lifting in years is that the gains come very fast. I like routines and I am hoping that this will help give me some structure and can help propel me to a positive place.
I am not sure if I will be spending Christmas with my parents in California. I want to go out there because it is a nice place to go and relax, just not sure if it is going to work out. I have about a week to decide so I should probably look into that sooner than later.
Time to go watch some tv and lay down. My sleep schedule is so messed up these days. I hate not having job. That kinda goes with the whole routine thing as well.
Music artist to check out: Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover from Community fame.
Here is an awesome video from r/hockey:

Happy Birthday Kid
"How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"
26 years old? Talks of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Could 26 be the healthiest, most successful year of my life? I sure hope so. 25 was a good year. Half-way point of my life and it was good. I held a steady job for about 49 weeks. That is good. I ran a lot in the summer and felt really good. I ended the year poorly though. I have eaten like a slob and haven't worked out much.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif I also let my job with no plan at all. I am continuing to strive to be the best person I can be. As people who are reading this know, I am quite the weird person. An optimistic cynic. Someone who gets a kick out of pushing it too far, until he realizes he hurt someone and then feels bad.
I just want to shout out my friends who continue to put up with my stupid shit.
Shout out to my parents and brothers too. Can't imagine what I was like to raise/live with.
I try not to take anything too seriously, but have been having trouble with that lately.
White Castle Birthday dinner Wednesday night if anyone has interest. I miss my parents so I'll extend the invite to anyone who is around who wants to have some sliders with me. Fuck, I'll probably just get a crave case and share with everyone. #thatswhatsup
