Valentine's Day

Yesterday was Valentine's Day. I went to Sonic with Chris (thanks for driving) Andy and Caffunky. It was a fun time for a Saturday night. I felt a little like high school for the whole Saturday night drive to savage (gross) to get some food. It was just a fun little ride and the juice was worth the squeeze (as they say) for the fact that the burger and shake that I had was amazing. So Valentine's day was good in that sense. My friend in Jersey, Jennifer, was the only person to wish me a Happy Valentine's Day (not even my mom! Damn Sue you slipping!) so you are awesome Jennifer. Much <3.

I am excited that February is already half over. Once March gets here it is so on. The weather warmed up at the very end of January and stayed decent (high 20's low 30's) only to drop back down now. Next Saturday it is supposed to be 10!! WTF!!?? That is a big bummer, but gotta just deal and keep on going forward.

MYSA (where I interned in 2007) just posted a job opportunity that was basically what I was doing as an intern there in that glorious summer of 2007. I have not applied to it yet, but I will. I'm sure hella people will apply for it, but I might have an inside track since I interned there and know everyone there and have good relations with the people there??? I don't know. I think it would be a really sweet place to work full time. Just working the summer there I built relationships with the people who worked on different league admin stuff and it was just great talking about how psycho youth coaches/parents are. So my hopes are up, but not too high because I don't have confidence in anything job-wise these days. Do me a favor though and cross your fingers for your ol' boy.

I have been looking at my livejournal entries from years past and come to the realization that to have a good blog one needs to do things aside from just posting what they do with friends who read this blog. That is where doing other things comes into play. I have already taken that idea and ran with it for my running journal. I think that will turn into something that will be memorable (at least for me, I really don't know if anyone is reading it at all or not) since it will be a good 4 months of the ups and downs of attempting to run a marathon. Well with that being said I think that the posts in this blog will be a little bit shorter until I actually do something with my life. I'll probably start coming up with some creative stuff to do. I will eventually start posting pictures and what not.

I really can't wait to fish this summer. I want to go fishing with anyone who wants to go. It would be a damn fun time to be fishing with some KQ on the radio, a chest full of bottles of beer and the sun out. Man I long for summer to be able to do that. I haven't drank much this year and there are 2 parts of that. One is my whole running/trying to get a little more fit, but the other is that drinking in the winter (indoors) is nothing like drinking outside in the summer. The warm weather, drinking outside at 8 pm and see the sun set gently to the west as a little buzz comes about. Man it is just a glorious feeling. I sincerely look forward to that feeling.

You can give me the inside info on when blagojovich goes for his runs and how he gets his hair to look like a lego person.



Conan said that on his show and I love it so much. There is not a truer/funnier statement to be said about blago's hair. Conan will be going off the air as late night host on Friday night. Look for a tribute to him in this blog in the coming days. Definitely gonna be a tough pill to swallow when the lights go out on Late Night with Conan O'Brien at 12:37 am Saturday morning.
