The Lost Symbol

The new Dan Brown book came out today. For those that haven't read any of his other books and don't know who he is well if you are reading this you know who he is. I preordered my book at B&N and went to pick it up before work this morning. I figured there would be a couple people out at 8:15. I was the only car in the parking lot and believe me when I say I felt like a major Rube/Nerd. I embraced it though as now I am about 75 pages into the book and I do enjoy it. Having D.C. be the setting is mighty cool too with all the symbolism.

Champions League group play started today, with more matches going on tomorrow. Exciting stuff to have that competition underway.

The vikings got a nice win Sunday and I watched football from noon-6:30,7:30-11 on Sunday and from 6-12:30 on Monday. Needless to say I am in heaven with the nfl back. It is already Wednesday tomorrow so the countdown to the weekend will begin when I wake up tomorrow morning. I can't wait.

My fantasy team got the win over the weekend. The boys put up 167 points which was the highest in the league. We have another division opponent this Sunday when we are away to White Napkin. He has a solid team, but if the Slayers perform no one can touch us. It should also be mentioned that White Napkin wasted a draft pick on backup tightend Martelus Bennett in the draft so it doesn't appear he is a great fantasy football mind. Some of my primetime players put up a rather poor day. My receivers looked below average, though that will change soon enough because I got a whole stable of receivers who are targeted. My team is like a USC of fantasy football. We just got guys to throw in when a match up is off or a bye week comes up. Stay tuned for more news on THE DRAGON SLAYERS in the next couple of days. Hopefully Anquan can overcome his hamstring and make some plays, but if not that is fine since we got said stable.

I am enjoying the new Jay-Z cd.

I also got to add that the whole kanye-taylor swift thing was definitely staged. It just goes to show how dumb most americans are. I had no idea those awards were on and I'm sure a lot of other people didn't know either. Now there is all this hype and thats all MTV wanted. Kanye is fine with taking the fall because people hate him anyway, yet he will still sell records. Taylor Swift is one of America's new angels and Beyonce at the end looks like a class act by letting Taylor speak after Beyonce won video of the year. Taylor walked right out with a mic from the back like that wasn't staged? What is the youth of America coming to?

Jay Leno sucks

TV shows are back this week, though Sons Of Anarchy is the best show you are not watching. Most the new shows except for COmmunity and Flash Forward look like utter crap when it comes to network tv.

See you soon.
